Wayne, looking forward to it once again mate - always a top notch event, and it's always great to catch up with all my Aussie cousins !!!
Anyone who can make it to this weekend will have a ball, the hard-working organisers always put on a wonderful steel guitar event.

Paddy, it will be great to catch up with you and Brian and Ivan, as alway great to see our Steel Brothers from the land of the long white cloud.
Looks like a great show again this year, our mate Warren Nielsen has been busy booking players from all over Australia (and NZ) unfortunitly Warren will be playing in Nashville and won't be able to be there this year,
but hellllll be back

Fellow Forumites,
This get together is simply a blast!!!! Last year, I went up there as an invited artist, and let me tell you, it was terrific. It was a real honour for me to be invited up there, and I got to meet some absolutely neat people. Paddy, Ivan, and Brian, from across the ditch in NZ, fellows, looking forward to seeing you all again. It was a pleasure last year to share the stage with Ian Kerr, Mike Tynes, Gary Brown, Kenny Kitching, Warren Neilsen, Paddy Long, Ivan Posa, and Ray Hasler during the main concert on Sunday, and the Saturday night event was truly wonderful. I would be sadly remiss if I didn't mention the absolutely outstanding backing band that played with us on the Sunday main concert. These fellows are professionals in every sense of the word, and I felt proud to have had the chance to play music with these great artists. Kudos also to the fellows that played on the Saturday night event. Well done, one and all. Everyone should try to make it to this outstanding festival if possible. For our Forum brothers and sisters in the USA, Canada, Europe, and other places around the world, we'd love to see you if you can come. For the Aussies and Kiwis, we'll definitely see lots of you all there. Looking forward to a fun festival!!! Take care, one and all.

Hi all -- just a bump for this great Steel guitar event !! I'm catching the early bird tomorrow morning from New Zealand..... hope it's a bit warmer in Brisbane than it is here today ha !!!
Looking forward to playing this great show again - and I have a gig on the friday night with some kiwi mates who live in Brissie - should be a hoot !

Sorry I won't be able to come to Brisbane and catch up with you and all the guys, hope fully next year.
Don't forget to pick up a CD of the History of Australasian Steel Guitar at the festival.
We will be adversing it here on the forum and at www.brisbanesteelguitarclub.com in the near future

I would just like to thank Noel and Shirley Anstead and their team of organisers for a fantastic steel guitar weekend in Brisbane this weekend just gone.
I had a brilliant time and it was great catching up with all my Aussie friends and meeting a few new ones as well. Thoroughly enjoyed being able to play to you all.
It's always nice to pop over to the warmer climate in Queensland in the middle of our Kiwi winter !!!

Glad to hear it went well Paddy,
I'm still miserable that I missed it....life is way hectic at present between being a dad, studying and working my day job it I just couldn't get there.
Hopefully I'll get to catch all you guys next year,

| I would like to add my thanks to the Brisbane Steelguitar club for an excellent weekend. Noel Shirley and the team of local contributors and supporters did themselves proud. It was great to catch with old friends again for some picking and friendship. I look forward to returning next year. |
