It's on a DVD that Scotty sells, of a whole show Buddy and Bobby Caldwell did several years ago. Both of them "tore it up".

It's on a dvd entitlted "Steel Guitar Classics Volume 1-Buddy Emmons".....available from Scotty's Music....the bar spinning is near the end of the dvd....Bobby Caldwell is in such disbelief as to what just happened that he asks the Big E to do it again and again.

The dvd as a whole is a great exhibition of the Master at work!!!!

Great video Kevin. But the one I had in mind is where he spins the bar in a 360 clockwise and works his way from about the 15th fret to around fret 10.I've seen him do in jams several times. But I have it on video. He's backing Jimmy Dean on that Good Ole Nashville Music tv show.He uses the lick for most of the short solo.I havn't even seen this in 15 years. Can't remember the song. The only thing I do remember was not being able to do it myself. Oh Well

Anyone else seen this? Even if I found it. I have no way to get it on line.I do wish everyone could see this. And I'm sure a lot of you guys that have been lucky enough to watch Buddy jam. Have already seen him do this trick. But, it would still be cool to have it on line.

Bobby I saw that when it aired. Jimmy announces Buddy's solo by saying " now the steel guitar artistry of buddy emmons" very very superb with the camera right on Buddy.... love to see it again!

I watched the Big E from 10 feet away in a steel guitar clinic in Minneapolis in 1982. My girlfriend and I turned to each other and said, in unison, "Did I just see what I think I saw?"

Someone tab that out, you can make a few bucks. But Buddy's probably the only guy that could tab it out.

Danny Gatton told me about Buddy doing that at the "Cellar Door" in D.C. when they did a show together. That must have been about thirty years ago.
