I've been scouring the net for info. on a Rickenbacker B6 with a 'spear-shaped' logo on the headstock. (sorry-no pics). One source suggests the headstock puts it in the fifties. Could someone verify this? This model is a potential purchase, so I'd love to hear opinions on it's sound and construction.
Thanks,
Asa |

From your description, it sounds like a late-40s or early '50s B6

When I removed the plates on mine there were newspapers stuffed inside. The date on these were October of 1950. Not a sure bet when the guitar was produced but a fun way to get a ball park idea. ![Surprised](images/smiles/icon_surprised.gif) |

I had one of those. I was told at the time that it was a 1950 model. All the others I've had were "T" logo, late 40s types. It's a bakelite!! you can't go wrong! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |
