I just picked up an Alesis Quadraverb and I was wondereing if anyone could recommend a setting on this thing. I am not playing out or anything like that--just learning. It has many presets, does anyone use them the way they are or do you modify them. Any help would be appreciated. This is the first effects thing that I have ever used. It seems pretty complicated. thanks in advance,. Steve 703 919 8990

I had/used an Alessis QuadraVerb Plus for several years, but; like a dummy I sold it! I didn't use any of the Factory Pre~Sets, but; did check for some perameter settings to make up my own programs between #90 & #99. I really hope you did receive an Operator's Manual along with your unit, or you really do have your work cut out for yourself, unless you can find another QuadraVerb owner to help you! Good Luck with a piece of good equipment!

Yes, fortunately I did get the manual with this. I am experimenting with it. It can play 4 effects at one time, I just am not sure how most players use the effects. I have been told that some people add delay and reverb. how much? thanks very much for your reply, Steve

I just set up a variety of programs to suit myself.
#99 = Tremolo
#98 = Reverb – Chorus – Delay-360ms
#97 = Reverb – Chorus – Delay-320ms
#96 = Reverb – Chorus – Delay-225ms
#95 = Reverb – Delay – 360ms
#94 = Reverb – Delay – 320ms
#93 = Reverb – Delay – 225ms
#92 = Reverb
#91 = Resonator
#90 = Leslie
That's just an idea and I don't remember the parameters on everything and eventually eliminate the ones I didn't really use or like!

Steve, I have a Quadraverb with a setting on it for steel. I will post settings tonight.

The Quadraverb has a setting that puts chorus on the reverb. You may not want that for steel. I will post that also.

Steve -
I've had a Quadraverb GT in my rack probably since the mid- 80's. I use two NV 400's and the GT's stereo outputs. (79 Emmons D10 PP)

Since you say you're just starting out, I suggest you scroll thru the factory presets and make a note of which ones you like.

You can copy a factory preset over to one of the 90-99 program numbers, or override the presets from Program 00 forward and copy the ones you like to that seqential location. There's also a feature that allows you to name them anything you want. (but for your future reference, be sure to keep your handwritten note so you know which factory preset became "XYZ" in your display)

As your Winter Woodshed project, you can copy any of the presets over to section 90-99 and once you catch on to how the configuration modes work, modify to your satisfaction to make your own (and leave the original preset 'as was').

For what its worth, I also found it handy that my 'personal preferred tone' was always in my stored program list in multiples of 3. For example,
Program 00 = Ron's Tone
Program 01 = Pure Quad
Program 02 = Straight Flange
Program 03 = Ron's Ton
Program 04 = Lezlee
Program 05 = Distortion
Program 06 = Ron's Tone
Program 07 = 150 MS delay
Program 08 = 300MS delay
Program 09 = Ron's Tone
yahda yahda yahda

so that I didn't ever have to scroll thru a bunch of Program numbers looking for my preferred tone.

Good luck on your purchase - I'm perdy dern sure you'll like it
