oi oi boyo,[where's the sheep me lad] thats American country sang in native welsh lauguage, Country is very big in our native islands as in Europe and Russia and Asia.
I am from 'Bristol England' which is about 20 miles from 'wales', now living on the lovely plaines of 'Nebrasaka'
Those are good people there lad in Wales, great fish,n chips, lots o vinegar and salt.
There are many people that are not aware that 'American country' has touched the whole world.
There are now pheonominal country musicians worldwide, you really see them on cruise ships etc, and when they sing you'd think they were from Kentucky.
This Beautiful country has had a beautiful influence on the whole world, country music as it stands in its traditional form, steel, fiddle, harmony vocals ete, etc still sell's the best worldwide.
Some of the biggest audiences are abroad, slim whitman is huge in Europe and Asia, but you never hear of him here. The rest of the world if lucky only get 1 hr per week of American country music, i think in England it has even been totally done away with, so when you sing, people listen!
P;S Colorado is beautiful man...
Now Calvin me lad, Isent that a welsh name???Mmmmmmm _________________ A.K.A Chappy. |

John, great postings! So steel players CAN be comedians! I wondered if it were possible, and if Joe Wright was the only one...
As to the Welsh song, Calvin, that is a Gordon Lightfoot translation. "Song for a Winter's Night", here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1oiiE7CyZ0 |

Cal, no doubt that we prefer to listen to the one with steel in it. I just wanted to inform you and the rest that this beautiful song is written by our own Canadian
writer, Gordon Lightfoot. |
