1979 or 1980 (can't remember). Brand new Jensen C12N speaker. Ok condition- the usual corner wear on the tolex. I'd rather not ship this, so pick up in NE Phila., or I could meet you if it's not too far.
$750

That's a good price for one of the all-time great amps. Even knowing no history...what tubes are in it, has it ever had a cap job, etc. - it's worth snapping up at that price IMO.

I have had it for two years... never really used it. I think the only servicing it ever had was somebody putting their finger through the speaker cone. I put in the Jensen and was going to have George Alessandro spruce it up, but I guess the 2 mile drive to his house was just too much Rolling Eyes Seriously though, I was going to keep it, but I'm just not playing out enough these days, and I know someone else could use it.

Hi Brian. How's things?

A brief partial history of this very amp:
I was the previous owner. I don't know it's history before my time other than it had been serviced sometime around 2004. For the couple years I had it it was kept in the studio and used on many recording sessions for guitar, lap steel, and pedal steel.

It can be heard here:

I'm not mentioning any names but I think I know who put their finger through the speaker. That was the only thing wrong with it as I recall. -now remedied by a new speaker.
The only reason I sold it was to raise funds for the U12 I bought at the time.

-Ivan

Hey Ivan, thanks for the input! I have only turned it on about ten times since I got it from Ivan. Dave, did you get my emails?
