Had to give this one some recognition.

beautiful...i'll take it!
however, this reminds me to ask why such great care is taken to the detail of steels, but usually neglected is the backside. why can't we have inlay trim on the back of the body? |

We can put trim in the back as well. Thought it looked better without.
I do not have the tuning on the computer. If I get it I will post it.

It reminds me of a Fulwaka steel. What other steel companys are putting the wood necks back on the steel for a "custom creation"? Great steel, how is the tone?

Austin, Carter (maybe just custom shop guitars), Williams and maybe others offer wood necks. Mullens are great guitars and have great tone.
But Mike, you and Del (and others at Mullen) should be put in the Hall of Fame for some of these guitars you build. I've never seen any more beautiful than the ones you have posted here recently. |

Wooooow!
This is the way custom steels are made. Shot Jackson used to make steels with this in mind when Sho Bud first got it's start.
It is truly a premium example of american top quality craftmanship combined with perfection of functionability. A beautiful instrument to look at and it's a Mullen.
Gutiars comparable to this are D'Aquisto, D'Angelico, Ramirez, Gibson L-5, Guild and Martin.
I only see two issues, I would never take it out of my house and I might consider contacting LLoyds of London. |

Great-looking steel!
Good point, Chris. Virtually all Sho~Buds were made with this aesthetic in mind. _________________ Jackson Steel Guitars

Thanks for commenting guys. These lacquer guitars like this with wood necks, tend to sound a lot more like a shobud. The mica and metal necks definetally give it a different sound, more like a push pull.
I hope I did not give the impression that I was trying to boast or anything, just wanted to show off the opportunities available with a lacquer. My hat goes off to some great people in the lacquer business, like Mark. He does fine work as well. Shaun, my brother, is our lacquer guy and we do it all in house. So when there is a masterpiece like some of our recent ones I can't help but show it. Thanks for looking. |

Wow. That is beautiful. Mike, ya'll are turning out some amazing guitars. I can't wait to get my second G2. They are the total package. They play and sound just as good as they look. Bill, I hope you like yours as well as I'm liking mine. _________________ www.joshturner.com
