I am going to install a RKV so I can switch my leslie effect back and forth from fast to slow (currently using a footswitch beside my A pedal). Do any of you guys know of anyone who has done this and what switch will work? Thanks for the help...Larry |

I would bet you could accomplish this with a microswitch.
Good idea...what about a foot switch next to your volume pedal or 1st pedal on the left side?

Tim....I allready have my Boss-Bro & fuzz footswitch to the right of my volume pedal. I have the leslie footswitch mounted on a Goodrich pedal mount 2" to the left of my A pedal. When I'm using my A pedal I can't get to the leslie switch. The RKV will work well once I find out which switch to get. My friend Stu Schuleman gave me the idea. He has seen one somewhere set up like that. Larry |

Jim Sliff has an effects pedal mounted underneath the body of his Fender where a R vertical would be,I thought that it was very cool,Maybe Jim can show that pic again. _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5... The late and great Bob White did this for years on (I believe it was) his MSA.
In fact, he cut an album using the guitar, and the photo on the album showed the RKV clearly. I did not know what that vertical did, so one year when Bob played the ISGC at the old Chase Park Plaza hotel, I asked him. He then told me about it switching his "Leslie" on and off.
I miss Bob a lot. I agree with what the late Ron Lashley SR once told me when Bob was playing, "I think he is the most 'listenable' steel player I ever heard."
He was extremely smooth and had a great sound and was a tremendous asset for those awesome days when he was a member of Hank Thompson's "Brazos Valley" band. He was one of the gentleless and kindess persons I ever met.
Finally, he is credited with having come up with the 7th pedal on the C6 neck. He used it a lot. I call it, "The western swing pedal".

I wouldn't waste a knee lever. I have a full house and even put a vertical wrist lever on that Sierra.
I just got a small "Budbox" at Electronic City and put a small pushbutton on/off switch in it and a 1/4" jack on the end.I plug a regular 2 conductor cable into it and hook the other end to anything that can be controlled with a footswitch. I just put stick on velcro on that & the guitar apron so it can be removed if so desired. I position it so it's not in my way but can still get to it with the heel of my picking hand w/out missing a lick. I got the same thing on my Excel U-12.
