Yahoo Radio is like being in a tavern, and the stereo is continuously playing Red Foley, Kitty Wells, Faron Young, Webb Pierce, Eddy Arnold, Buck Owens, Patsy Cline, Randy Travis, Tammy Wynette, Charley Pride, Sara Evans, Willie Nelson, etc. and you can skip songs until they play one you really like. |

I used to listen to Willie's on XM Radio a lot but when he bought the channel, it truly became "Willie's" channel. You will hear 6-7 Willie songs, Jerry Lee Lewis and a hand full of others over and over. I've dropped “Willie’s” because of it.
I want variety in my old music so I'm gonna check out the 'Yahoo Radio' you mentioned. I've been looking for something better for a while.
XM's 'America' channel also is a good channel to listen to for the old stuff. _________________ A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Leroy, I had an XM add-on in the car, but the quality of the sound was bad, and as you said, the programming was limited to the same artists. How do you like Yahoo Radio, especially the 50's country. I listen to other genre also, like John Denver's "Back Home Again", Randy Travis "On The Other Hand", Sting "Fields of Gold", Enva "Only Time". I especially like the sound through my multimedia speakers, with a subwolfer. If you click that you like a song or artist, they're played more often on "my radio station". |

Mickey, I do like Yahoo radio. I like their variety.
It seems we are seeing more 'old' country radio stations appearing in many venues. There has been a rumor that XM is going to add a traditional country channel to their list in addition to the ones they have now. I hope.
I wish I knew what Sirius does in this area. Anyone know? _________________ A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Leroy, I've been a subscriber to Dish network for years, really like the picture quality and the DVR (digital video recorder). Dish network gives complete Sirius music radio with some of their programming (in addition to some of their own music programming with 4 country stations), I've seen it (I mean heard it), and to me it looks just like XM. It's ok but not great, like XM. |

Janice, I haven't tried 365 lately--perhaps I should.
I just didn't think about them. _________________ A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
