The Toy Hearts are one of my favorite bands in the world.
They have many marvelous attributes including Stewart Johnson - Dobro Player extraordinaire and killer banjoist.
They have posted 4 new original tunes on MySpace from their soon-to-be released CD "When I Cut Loose" that are definitely worth a listen.
I could tell you all about them, but a trip to their MySpace will tell the story better than I can:

Sly North Wind by the Toy Hearts was just delightful. It reminds me of Jewish Soul music which is always uplifting. Cool

This was a new group to me. I enjoyed their music.

Thanks for putting it on, Rick!! Cool

Aloha, Smile

Had the pleasure of playing a festival in Northern Ireland last year that the Toy Hearts were on and got to meet them. Got to meet and talk with Stewart.
We were both playing dobro on that show, but in
our conversation, we learned that each were pedal steel players. A very nice group of people and
talented in the way that Nashville wouldn't have a
clue as to what they're all about.

"When Angels Sing To Me" gives me chills.
This song has it all - killer reso playing, beautiful fiddling, mandolining, guitar playing and bass playing.
And angels singing . .
