I just recieved my copy of Buck Reid's CD intitled "A Work In Progress". This guy is to much. He plays so great. He burns on the C6th neck and his E9th playing will give you goose bumps. For those of you who don't know Buck, he works for Lyle Lovett. This CD should be a must for everyone's collection. To order contact Buck at www.buckreid.com. Thanks Buck for your wonderful playing. Yes, you are so right Bobby. I took this home with me from St Louis last year, Scotty had it in his booth.
Easily one of the top 10 Steel CD's of all time on my list.
By the way, glad you are doing well

Absolutely, Bobby...Buck's version of "Cry" on this CD is a killer. Also if folks are up for the challenge, Buck and Fred Amendola have got excellent note-for-note tab of many of the tunes on "Work in Progress" available on Buck's website |

Hi Bobby: You hit that one right on dead center; Buck is not only a fabulous steel Guitarist, but a very fine individual. they don't come any better. One of the reasons why he turned out so great is the fact that Buck's Dad is also a fine steel player from central N.Y. State. Lyle is one lucky Dude to have Buck as part of his group.
If you love good steel guitar music, contact Buck and buy this CD. You will not regret it..Bernie _________________ 2007 Zum S-10; 1967 Sho-Bud [ D-10 ]; 85 S-10 Sierra; 1953 Multi-Kord [ 6 String- 4 pedals ] A Sho-Bro six String Resonator Guitar; Nashville 112 Amp; hilton Vol. Pedal |

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had never heard of Buck until a few months ago and what the best kept secret he has be to me. I happened across the SteelGuitarJazz web site, ala, Mr Jim Cohen, and I was totally breathless. It seems I'm the only one that didn't know he existed, but I surely do now and am a fan to the max. |

I got Buck's CD 3 days ago. I've listened to it no fewer than 6 times. I can't get enough. His musicianship and technical expertise are awe inspiring. |
