I was about half way up the stairs last night when the plastic handle on my wheel-eez case broke. Inside the case was a D-10 Sierra that had just been delivered. Fortunately I had my left hand on the other handle at the end of the case so it didn't fall down the stairs. I was pretty lucky all around since it didn't land on my foot, neither the case or guitar were damaged and the stairs were unscathed.

The rivets on the case and the metal pivot points where the handle connected are fine. The plastic handle broke behind one of the pivot points and then snapped off in the middle as the case was going down.

Has anybody replaced a handle on a wheel-eez case or have a source for a replacement handle? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Chuck

Sounds like it really needs a handle that has a metal reinforcment internally rather than just a "plastic" handle if it's the type I think you have.

I've got some replacement handles but, again if it's the type I think it is, the ones I have are not reinforced.

I got a great new handle for my Fingertip case by going to a luggage supple store. Cleveland Luggage Supply. They sell every kind of baggage that you can think of, but they also do repairs. It only cost me $25, which was the same price as the handles that I found on the net. I am quite pleased. Perhaps a company like that can install some heavier duty handles on your case. This handle has spring steel
inside it, with a nice, comfortable leather exterior. And,,,, it looks just like the old handle!
