ATTENTION all Ozark Steel Guitar Association members and friends!! June 15 is the day for our bi-monthly jam at the Branson Community Center. It goes from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Also, we're all excited about the Big July Event. Friday and Saturday shows will be at the Community Center and the Big Sunday Show will be at the Gene Williams Theater in Branson. Those dates are July 25, 26, and 27.

Hello everyone. I am sorry to have to say we will not be making the June 15th. show. Austin had asked me to save the week of June 15th. through the 21st. for him to have his cousins from Arkansas up here to Kansas. We will be spending June 15th. with Papa Jerry (Father's Day & Austin's Birthday) and then bringing home a couple extra kids. Pray for me that week, as we have about ten other children who can't wait to come over once we get the cousins here. Whoa! Smile

Hope you all have a wonderful jam. We are looking forward to July. Happy Father's Day to all you fathers.

Yes, I sure will, Hank. I have had practice though. Last weekend I had six boys and two girls here all day Saturday. We had grilled chicken and homemade ice cream. The kids swam and fished. The six boys stayed overnight and then they all got up and went to church the next morning. My one bathroom was quite busy and I like to have never got all the towels washed. Laughing

If you have never been to one of our Jams, do come and bring your steels or, if you would rather, just come and listen. That's okay too.

If the Good Lord's Willing and I can afford a tank of gas I'm gonna try and make it.

Well, the Marshfield show got us all fired up for our meeting in Branson at the Community Center this coming Sunday, June 15. Scotty Henderson told me he was going to try and be there! Of course, there's Hank, our president, who has a real touch of class on his playing, he'll be there. And it goes without saying that Mike McGee, our vice-president, will be displaying his expertise on the steel guitar. Then there's the big guy, Mr. Terry Bethel, (Speedy Bethel), Mr. Too-busy Bethel. What a steel player he is!! When you have talent like he has, everybody keeps him busy! Yet he's not too busy to say a kind word to you and be concerned about how you're doing. So, tune up, pack up, and come and be with us at the Community Center. We always have a lot of fun at these bi-monthly meetings.

I will not be able to make this month's meeting. We are having a Father's Day family get-together, and I want to spend some time with my father. Play a pretty one for me, and I'll see you all in July.

Have you been wondering what to do for your dad on Father's Day?? He probably has enough socks and shirts and ties. And he may wonder if he smells bad because he's been given so many bottles of cologne through the years.....bring him out to the June Jam this year. Let him enjoy all the beautiful sounds of steel guitar music. That's tomorrow at the Community Center in Branson, 1 - 5 p.m.
