Congratulations on completing your CD Joe, and well done! I am listening to "Ice Cream Tricone" right now - very nice indeed! Great swing feel, did you do all the backing tracks yourself?

Joe. I couldn't make to Lee's last night. I had a recording appointment. I just completed buying your CD through paypal. I have an account; it was easy and I could'nt wait till next monday.
I really enjoy your steel playing. you have an incredible ear and a great feeling for the right note at the right time. and I swear I'll get out of the house some night. |

I was given the opportunity to review this CD even before it was finalized by Joe. The original CD contained 17 tracks, and I thought that each one were worthy of inclusion on the final release, but Joe was the producer and he probably made a wise choice in cutting it down to only 14. I haven't heard the final version yet, but will most likely see Joe on Monday, and get my copy.
I know that Joe has many fans out there, and I hope you all buy one copy, so Joe could retire. (RIGHT!!!) Joe enjoys playing too much to retire. But he could use the money, especially to create his next project, which he has already told me about. I won't tell you what it is, but I know that it will be as good as his current project.
So, don't hesitate. BUY, BUY, BUY.

this is the time of the year where I get flower and seed catalogs in the mail. if you are a gardener then you know how much fun it is to see colorful pictures of flowers and vegetables in the dead of winter.
yesterday, three catalogs came. and one brown wrapped package. inside that was a jewel box with a seed packet cover. inside was a terrific variety of songs.
Joe 's CD arrived.
well done. I am enjoying this. props for the design concept. artfully done.
and that's my two cents.  |

Hey Joe, I heard you on the Prairie Home show last Saturday - you sounded great!
I tuned in right in the middle of a Speedy West tune, then you played a slow ballad with Garrison Keillor singing (why does he insist on singing?  , he's an incredible humorist and writer, but singer? )

Thanks Joe. The horn guys did a killer job on "Let's Stay Together". I couldn't be more pleased the way that one came out. Plus, it's just a great song.
Actually, I'm super happy with the whole package.

WOW!. This is one of the best CDs I've heard in years. love the eclecticism, the genre bending, and the use of such exotic instruments as bagpipes, jaw harp and saw.
This one rates 5 stars.

I agree! I love this disc. My whole family loves it. This is certainly a solid reminder as to why I dig and live a musical life.
