Are there any out there somewhere?

I would love to see a pic of your SD10 Zum if you have one. Especially if it is lacquer.

Do the SD10 Zum feel as sturdy as a D10 Zum? I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy my D10 Zum feels compared to my SD10 Fessenden. I am curious if the big difference is in the brand or the presence of the C6 neck.

if you have a d10 zum, why would you want an sd10!
i'll give you 100 bucks for the d10 if you don't want it!

Savell,

I have both a D-10 and SD-10 and there is no difference in "sturdiness" or playability in any way.

Here are pictures of my sunburst lacquer SD-10 Zum and my Chestnut burl mica Zum Hybrid D-10.

Tony

It's not laquered but, here is my '95 Zum SD10. It is every bit as sturdy as the D10 Zum I once owned.

I have a new Hybrid SD-10 Zum and it is as solid as any pedal steel I have ever played over the past 35 years.

Absolutely gorgeous, Tony.

Dale, great design. Do you have any regrets in letting the D10 Zum go?

Well not really Savell. I bought it after I had Bruce build my SD10. I got the P/P fever and traded it for one a few years ago but, I'd love to have another.

I recently obtained a D10 Zum thinking I would like to learn the C6 neck. It hasn't created the excitement I was expecting. Maybe it will come in time.
