This one's a little differently documented. To make it more interesting, I noted in red, areas of the song that contain general purpose riffs. These riffs can be used in many different types of songs. If learning the whole song is too much all at once, just learn a few of the red parts. This way you will hear them in a real song and you can see if how they fit the real world. Just use your audio player to locate the part as noted in MIN:SEC.

Hey Greg,
I am a Newbie, Been learning thru some Newman Courses and can pick Melody scales but no songs to learn yet...Till you came along.
I really love your site, been a fan for a couple months. I printed up some of your intro's recently and plan to learn them.
I am extremely greatful you went this far with the tab on this one...I needed something to play.
Thanks. |

Chris,
I've got another RP tune called Are You Sure recorded and will tab it out soon. Listen to everything, then pick a few things you like and stick with them until you get it down. A lot of the same riffs are used over and over. I learned on Jeff's and Herby Wallace's tab for a few years and it's probably good to try a few different approaches to see what works for you. Thanks for listening!

Greg,
Just another thought on tab.
Some tab I've got is so confusing because the melody line and fill riffs are buried together. I find this especially true of the old Buddy Emmons stuff I have. It is done like he does it.
It would really be helpful if the melody like was in one color and the riffs were in another as you show. That way it would be easier to learn the melody and put in your own natural riffs if you want or do the tabbed riffs.
Having them all blended together is confusing to me if you are not following along with the audio.
Thanks for doin' what yer doin'.
