You will hear a lot of the classic country stuff played like this with 3 string grips. This one is a real common sound and it gives a fatter tone with 3 strings.

I've got a new series entitled "25 neat things you can with the E9th 3rd pedal". It actually has over 30 tabs but I'll post everything from super simple basic use to more advanced stuff. Hopefully I can start posting this series next week as 5 parts of 5 tabs in each post.
