Hi all,
Just thought I'd let you know that the Indy Steel Guitar Club will be having Weldon Myrick perform for this year's annual concert. Weldon will be performing on Sunday, June 10 from 2:00 - 4:00. I believe the festivities start around noon, with three other steelers playing from 1:00 - 2:00 (they are: Don Curtis, Leonard T. Zinn & Sharon Denny).
Admission has not yet been set, but it should be about $10. The venue info has not yet been sent to me (perhaps Fred Murphy knows?), but it will be in the vicinity of I-465 and U.S. 31 on Indy's south side.
All steelers are invited to come and enjoy the show with us. Just posting this now so that you can clear your calendars for that weekend.
I will post more detailed information regarding venue and admission price as I receive it.

| The location will be the Ramada Inn, located 1 block south of the Interstate 465 loop, on U.S 31 south, at Thompson road. Also the club will be having a jam session on Saturday night,June 9. This will be free and everyone is welcome to attend. Weldon will probably be in the audience at some point, and may even pick a couple of songs. If you wish to bring your steel, fiddle, guitar or other musical instrument feel free to do so, and we will let all play that we have time for. I will have an Evans and a Nashville 1000 there for any one to play steel through if they wish. First come, first served. It will probably start about 7 PM. Also, for the Sunday show, the price is $12each, and children are free. I will get the exact address and phone # for the motel later and post it here. | The number for the Ramda Inn is, 317-791-7262 and ask for Steel Guitar Show Rates. The show is from 12.00 noon to 6:00PM. If using the 465 interstate loop of the south side of Indy, take ext 2B,31 South. It is about 1 block away on the east side of the intersection. I have received a flyer from the club that quites these admission prices:
Members: $10
Non-members: $12
I would have to assume that these are the correct rates.....

All you steel pickers you better make plans to come over to indy and see Weldon also do you all remember the fellow that played steel for Buck Owens during the Hee Ha yers 1972 thru 1979 his name is Jerry Brightman
He lives in Ohio now and is getting back in to steel he will be performing at the indy show ..so try to make it out.. Jack |

I sure wish I could be there to hear Jerry Brightman and all the others as a bonus.
Jerry, I will never forget you coming to visit me when I was in the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. I may even have that 14 hole bellcrank gold plated!!! I know you will put them on a tremendous show!

you=all better plan on coming over to Indy. this sat. night and sunday afternoon ..
weldon myrick and jerry brightman will be performing its going to be a great show .
sat. night where else can you bring your steel and Jam on sat. night with these great steel players . and where else can you come and hear these guys in concert on sunday afternoon.. see you all there Jack |
