I have an original black box that Brad added the upgrade to, 2-3 months ago. Brad added tube, variable z knob and tuner out. Great shape- $230 shipped.

Brendan, you can do a search in electronics for Blackbox and you should find several threads about it.
Basiclly, it's a tone enhancer made by Brad Sarno a forum member.
