Special Thanks to Jerry Roller for his email and special thanks to Rebecca Lashley at Emmons. A friend wanted his Emmons D10 rewired and so with Jerry's help and Rebecca's diagram that she faxed,we got it done. I though I would post both picture and instructions for future use:
Instructions by Jerry
Looking at the control panel with guitar upside down from the back (changers to the left), the three way switch has two rows of 4 terminals, total of 8.
Lets number the terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 across the top row and 5, 6, 7, and 8 across the bottom row.
_1 _2 _3 _4
_5 _6 _7 _8
4 and 5 will not be used.
6, 2, 7, and 3 and connected together with a solid wire.
The + from the input jack is connected to terminal 6, the + from E9th pickup is connected to the #1 terminal, the + from C6th pickup is connected to #8 terminal.
Looking at the back of the pot, the bottom terminal is not used. The
center terminal is connected to the bottom (nearest you) terminal on the tone switch. The top terminal of the pot is grounded. The condenser is connected to the top terminal of the tone switch and the other end of the condenser goes to #3 terminal on the three way switch. Now you just need to connect all the grounds together. The jack ground, the E9th ground, the C6th ground and the ground (top lug) of the pot are all joined.
I hope this helps in the future for those of you needing to rewire a D10.

Michael,
Yes your are right. I searched the forum and it was Jerry that actually got me going in the right direction.

Hopefully this will be of great help to me....I don't have an Emmons but I have an old D 10 MSA Classic...I have put new pickups in it but forgot to look close at the wiring before removing the other pickups. My guitar does't have the tone or volume controls...only the three way switch. It is a small 3 way toggle switch and when I wired the pickups I found that they both work fine but the middle position only lets the C6th pickup work. Thanks again for posting the diagram Dan. Thanks for posting this. I started to write in for this very information about two weeks ago, but I managed to figure things out. When I took my D10 apart some time back to clean it up, apparently I lost my wiring diagram. ![Oh Well](images/smiles/icon_ohwell.gif) |

Hey Dan....would you or anyone else by chance know the proper wiring for a goodrich volume pedal with the tone control in it? Some years ago I took the tone control out because I thought it was causing problems and now I cannot remember how it was hooked up and cannot remember the right tone capacitor to use. |

John,
I do not, I believe you would have to check back with the Factory on that one or maybe Bobbe Seymour might have it.
