I just bought a 6 outlet power cord at Walmart, that is just what I needed. It has a 15 ft. cord and six outlets. The good thing about the outlets, is that there are 4 in the middle, grouped together in a normal fashion, BUT, the outlets on the ends are spaced out to accomodate power supplys aka wall warts. It is designed to manage the cord, too. You simply wind it around it lengthwise and the ac plug has a clip to fasten it to the cord. It sells for about $14.00 and is just great. It solved all the problems I had with other power cords.Plus, it has a lighted on/off switch so you know if you are ready to go. Check them out on your next trip to Wally World!

I have a "surge protector" type power strip with a 20 or 25ft (I forget) power cord on it that I got at Lowe's. It has a power switch too.

I like the surger protector type better.

I tend to agree about the surge protection, and

EMI/RFI noise attenuation is built in.

For another $8, well... you can mount it to the inside of a rack and save yourself a 1U space from a $50 power conditioner on the front, only disadvantage is you have to reach inside to turn it on.

I have one like what George has and I think it is great.
Easy to use with a couple of wide spaced sockets and lighted switch. The best part is the self tending wire arrangement.Quick to coil up, stays put, and can be grabbed and carried in the same hand as your amp handle. Bright yellow, won't get left behind.
It has a 15 amp breaker built in. Now if it just had noise surpression.

Yep, got one like that too that I throw in the back of my second amp. I have a Furman PowerPlug that is made for the wallwarts (I have four with wireless headset, effects, tuner) that lock these in place. No chance of them falling out. Has surge/noise protection also.
