Okay, in spite of some really tiring road work these past few months, I've finished a new course in time for ISGC!

This one is entitled "E9 By Request," because in it I've tabbed out arrangements for some tunes I've had requests for, by both bandstand players and home pickers. There's a couple traditional Price/Tubb shuffles, a couple swing-style tunes, a couple bandstand instrumentals that steel players get requests for, and some intro/solo/turnaround arrangements for country standards, like George Strait/Merle Haggard material.

Like my previous material, there's a CD and a book. The CD contains a track of the solo with me playing it, followed by the rhythm track I used without me playing, and the book includes tab for all the solos I play.

Songs on the course:

Last Date... key of C, entire song
That's The Way Love Goes... key of E, 2 choruses
Statue Of A Fool... key of A, entire song
Half A Mind... key of A, intro, solo, turnaround
Amarillo By Morning... key of D, intro, solo, outro
Steelin' The Blues... key of C, 3 verses, 2 choruses
Blue Spanish Eyes... key of G, entire song
Blue Velvet... key of Bb, entire song, 2 choruses
Invitation To The Blues... key of D, intro, entire song, outro

The course is now on my website, and it's $28 postage paid. Order from me with PayPal for the most convenience. Bear in mind I'll be on the road pretty heavy during December, so be a little patient with me. It might be a week or so after I receive the order before I get a chance to ship it.

PayPal me at herbsteiner@austin.rr.com.

Forgot to add, the copedent used is standard E9th, 3 pedals and 2 levers (E-F and E-D#). I stress MELODY playing in this course, as I do in all my material.

Here's one more track:
That's The Way Love Goes

Okay, big thanks to those who've ordered so far! Smile

The course is now up on the website, so click on the link below, go to Products for Sale, click on Instructional material, and follow the instructions for ordering through PayPal.

It's as if an occult hand Wink will enter the picture, and the transaction will be completed. Then I get the email, bag up a course, go to the post office, and the USPS takes over from there.

Thanks, Red! I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing you at ISGC. Smile

Okay, fellers, here's my schedule update: I'll be on the road for the next 7 days (so no mailouts at all until Aug. 21), then only in town for a day or two for the week after that, then I go to St. Louis for ISGC and some family visiting. So I won't be able to mail out orders the next day as I usually do. It might take a day or three to get to a post office, but I'll have some packing mailers along with my laptop so the course material will get to y'all in a timely manner.

Response to the new course has been great, and again I thank each and every one of you who feel my material has helped you achieve your steel guitar goals.

Herb Steiner has some of the very best instructional material available. His two "C6th on the E9th" courses were gobbled up by yours truly just in time to save my job for me [don't have a C-6th neck]. By the way Herb I'm hungry for some more! When's the next one coming out. You've made me a hero to my band!

Guys
Thanks to all who've ordered this course and others in recent weeks. I've been burning up the highway going to the mailbox. Smile

I'll be "on the road" this next week: two days fishing at Lake Fork, then a couple days in Linden TX at the Pineywoods Gathering and a gig with my old pal Michael Martin Murphey, then a gig at the State Fair of Texas with Gary P. Nunn.

So, orders received this week will be sent out on Monday, Oct. 8. As usual, please be patient.

Update for those who are considering my products for possible Christmas purchases:

I'll be on the road for three weeks, starting Nov. 30 through Dec. 23 with the Michael Martin Murphey Cowboy Christmas tour, and I won't be able to fill any orders during that time, so if any of y'all want any of my stuff, you'd best order it BEFORE THANKSGIVING so I'll have time to get it bagged up and shipped.

Again, thanks to all Forumites who've purchased my products... and especially those who've emailed me to tell me how this material has helped them reach their playing goals. Keep doing it, and hang in there.

I had the opportunity to see him play a few times in the late 70's at Abilene Christian University.
I seen Michael once alone and then another time with his band.
He was (and I sure he is still) an awesome performer.....very talented.
That sounds like you will be having some fun doing that gig with him Herb.

I ordered a couple of tunes a few days ago by email, and will probably order more, it works like a charm and don't get any easier than that.
