What other hobbies do you have other than playing your steel? I enjoy building and shooting Black powder rifles. I just finished building a Jacob Dickert rifle circa 1769. I was instrumental in starting a black powder club called the Yuma Territorial Long Rifles. I started the club in 1978 and it is still going strong. Also I enjoy hunting and fishing. Let me know what you enjoy doing in your spare time. |

Hap,
When I have the spare time,,,I still enjoy boating, and fishing, just don't seem to have enough time to do much anymore.
When I moved from Oklahoma to Arizona in 93 I brought an 80 mph bass boat with me, since then I've traded down to a 14 mph pontoon boat, big difference, but it sure made my wife happy!

Hap, like you, I collect and enjoy target shooting. The steel answers my need for accomplishment and artistic leanings. As I have said before, there is no instrument that can evoke the feelings like the sound of a pedal steel, bar none (pun intended). |

I am not sure I should share, but I like eveyone, so far...
To follow suit, I enjoy shooting. Mostly my 270 rifle and a 38. Sorta a funny story with that. A few years ago a gentleman asked me out on a date. Asked where I would like to go and I said "the shooting range." He thought I was kidding, but went along with it. He was shocked when I pulled out 3 guns and a fresh box of ammo for each to shoot. Took all afternoon. Never seen him again. I also like fishing, fresh and salt water. I can clean 'em too. I really like tent camping. Got to go 6 times this year and have one more trip planned. Couple of times there was no water or electric hookups. Took my guitar, what a great week that was!
I do girl stuff too. Crafts, cross-stich, civil-war re-inactments. I like to sew some of my own clothes. I like computers and do a lot of things with it, like learning TAbledit.
'Nuff about me. I'll be interested to hear the rest of what everyone else does. |

Along with my love for the pedal steel guitar, I enjoy woodworking, for example I like to build Adirondack chairs. My eyesight is not very good anymore because of diabetes but I also enjoy working with trick photography...I use a Microsoft Photo Editing program and I get a lot of fun editing photos. |

When I can find 1/8 scale models, I build some popular ones. It seems that Rivarossi lost their principle licenses. Here is a 1985 Ferarri Testarossa in 1/8 scale.

After being a cop since 1993 you would think guns would be a given but I would rather go fly my Cessna 172 on a nice evening.
My other hobbies include ham radio and acrylic landscape painting. |

I have been interested in woodworking for years.
I have also liked photography a lot. Not that I am an expert at it but it's a lot of fun especially with the arrival of the digital age and my 2 little grand daughters.
I also enjoy doing research into criminal cases, more specifically the plight of those who have been wrongly convicted.
This has been my main hobby for the last 10 years. |

I am 58 years old and moved to Tn 7 years ago from Georgia, where I was born and raised. I've done my share of hunting and fishing since I was big enough to hold a BB gun. I have a lot of guns but don't use them anymore. I still fish occasionally. I golf some now also. I've played bluegrass music for many, many years. Now I'm learning the PSG. Other than that, I don't do anything else much except build houses. |

In my spare time I like watching paint dry and teaching sign language to inanimate objects. I also enjoy Snarfboarding and setting fire to my teeth, but never at the same time. Every 12th saturday in Octember I volunteer at the Senior Paint Huffers club.
Please help me. |

All of Joe's, plus I take a trip down to the local barbershop once a week to applaud haircuts, and occasionally, I also like to count out-of-state license plates. Hurt me now, I'm asking for it. |

I enjoy reading everyone's side interests. I was especially happy to see Tamara weigh in on this topic. She sounds like the kind of girl every man dreams of, and she psg's too! My hat is off to you girl. It's great to have so many good people, the true American stock here on this Forum. We are the salt of the earth and the backbone of this country. |

Jim; You should get one of those `EXTREME` hammocks and go for the nationals.
Billy; That is no way to talk about the missus.

Other than pedal steel, I do nature photography. I specialize in macro, and there my specialty is bugs, we get nose to nose sometimes. The photo on my Biz card took me 8 hours of waiting for right moment to snap the shutter. A milkweed beetle on, you guessed it, a milkweed. |
