I just spent the best New years eve that I can remember. !
The Perry Home Companion with Buddy Eamon's playing peddle steel. Not enough of him but good. Some one playing the Dobro to that wasn't to bad !!! Ha ha ha.
2 1/2 or 3 hr of god country music.
Lets do it again!!

Yep, watched the same show....it was great!
My wife and I made the comments to each other....this was the best TV programming we have seen in MANY years on NYE.
I would have loved to see more shots of Emmons, but oh well. Sam Bush is one monster Mandolin player and I always enjoy watching him.
Cheers!

Steel players never get their proper camera shots on any shows that I have seen.
Steelers and steel lovers are seemingly just expecting and accepting this sort of unfair band member treatment (IMO). |

He must have had some hidden motivation to appear in that - I can't see what made it worth his trouble to be there. I could barely hear what he played, for the brief time they let him play. Camera shots were so bad I couldn't even tell what brand steel he used. Pity. I have always admired his work. |
