I have just uploaded a clip of my friend, Bud Carter, to YouTube.

Many of you know Bud as the designer/builder of the Carter Steel Guitar.

However, Bud is one of those GREAT Texas players as you will see.

I am happy to post this video and proud to have Bud as a friend.

Wow Bill, thanks a lot for posting this. I worked for quite some time with Bud in the 1960s. I was always impressed with his expertise on the C6 tuning. Bud was a pleasure to play with and just to be around. Bud told me he dug up some old reel-to-reel tapes of us playing together. I wish I could hear those and see how bad I played. Bud said there was some real good pickin on there. Evidently has taken up lying.... hahaha Laughing

Great player and a great builder for sure. It is amazing with men like Del Mullen, Bud Carter, the Big E of course, Maurice, Terry Bethel, Duane Marrs, Zane Beck, Tom Morrell, Bobbe Seymour, Shot Jackson, Jimmy Crawford, Russ Hicks, John Hughey I think, and others I might not know or forgot to mention, how great these players are and have been for quite some time. Without these and others, where would the steel guitar industry be at the present? A big thank you to everyone involved, players and builders! Oh , lets not forget our valuable listeners and fans of the pedal steel guitar for sure. Afterall, we do this for the love of this beautiful instrument, and alot of us have made a living of what we love to do. Hope this makes sense, lol! Neal Yeagley
