Hey all,

Well, after posting for some tele parts to get a beat to hell tele custom back to playing shape, I'm finding out that it's not worth throwing $150.00 into. So, I'd rather throw that cash into a decent used axe to learn my six string chords on. Kinda backwards, ain't it? A 32 year old steel player NOW all of a sudden wants to learn regular guitar.

Anyway, hate the thought of getting one thing and then stepping up to something else a year down the road so I'd rather get something decent now. AND haven't been real impressed with the squiers that they're putting out today. That being said, I'm finding some cool old MIJ Squiers on Ebay, but not real trusting of Ebay for something like this. I'd love to find a blonde MIJ Squier, or just about any color MIM Std. My budget is $200-250 and would really like to stay to the low end of that. Had a really nice gent make an offer of an American Std. but that's just out of my range. I just want to use it on a few songs a night, I'm not looking to become some hotshot tele-banger. There's already one of those in my band!

THanks, and Email to: fklott@mor-value.com

Thanks Steve, but I really have my heart set on a Tele. I've got a mini-strat that I put an extender nut on with an A6th (8th string thru third string with A&B down) tuning for playing slide style.

Thanks though!

I don't have one for sale, but the local Guitar Center has been selling Mex- teles cheap.

II play steel in a 50-60s band, but mostky guitar. I have a mex strat that sounds excellent. I paid 100 to a kid who thought teles we not cool. I invested another 225 for a B6 Bigby and a schaler roller nut bridge. What a combo.
