Advance notice. We will be honored with the playing of Ricky Davis as our featured player at the Jan. 7 '07 meeting. Ricky is one of the premier players from the Austin area and is now living in the Houston area. Let's all make plans now to be at the Jan 7 '07 meeting. Stay tuned for future announcements. That is great news Jody. Ricky is a super player and an entertainer as well. Think we could get him to share a lick or two? What a super present for all the club to enjoy. Can't wait God Bless all and will see you soon.

That's great!!! Ricky is one of my favorites. I saw him work a gig with Redd Volkaert in Austin a couple of years ago. Anybody that can hang with Redd has got to be good.

I don't know whether to bring my scubba gear, my golf clubs or my steel guitar?
Ricky is absolutely "TOP SHELF".

Thanks guys, and for Feb. we have another great player lined up. Dale Thomas will be the featured player for Feb. Looks like our club is off to a good start for '07. Once again, I encourage everyone to make a special effort to attend our meetings. Jody, Billy, and Patty.

From what I hear, Ricky Davis is also an avid golfer. Probably a good golfer. And, we need more steeler/golfers in the area.

Hi Brandon, The meeting will be at the Life Church youth hall in Katy,Tx. Players should be there at 1:30PM to set up and the show starts at 2:30. Take I-10to Katy. Take the PinOak exit. South on PinOak to Katy-Flewellen(about 300 yds. Chevron Store on right). Right on Katy-Flewellen to Grenbusch(first street on left) left on Greenbusch about 1 mile to Life Church on your right. Hope to see you there. Jody, Billy. and Patty.

Brandon, Coming from Stafford, you can go north on 99, the Grand Parkway, and turn west on Westheimer Parkway. Continue to the Life Church on your left. Westheimer Parkway becomes Greenbusch as you go west. Much closer than looping around I-10 for you.

Ricky is for sure one of my favorite pickers, my friend and a great guy. I don't understand why all the major steel shows don't try to book Ricky. Perhaps some do but I don't think so. If I was closer I would be trying to attend this meeting. Ricky deserves all the support the steel guitar community can give him because he has earned it.
