The Hawaiian Guitar of Marcel Bianchi, Studio Sessions 1942/1953

I haven't heard this yet but I'll bet it's interesting. Marcel Bianchi was a Corsican and contemporary of Django who somtimes dubbed for the great 2-fingered one at gigs. He was reportedly a fine, swinging gypsy jazz stylist in his own right.

THere's also this CD of Bianchi on standard guitar:

I have several of his LPs. A real decent player, but not what one might expect from such a hot guitarist.

Another interesting player to check out is Poly (Brazil), who recorded several volumes of Tangos on Hawaiian Guitar in the 60s. I own 3 of the volumes and they're cool.
