You can purchase the soundtrack (as well as DVD/VHS/Book) at www.pbs.org.

Here is a direct link to the soundtrack: http://www.shoppbs.org/product/index.jsp?productId=1901797&cp=1907699&parentPage=family

I still don't know who the dobro player was, though.
The CD says: 15 Marsalis compositions (all new except "Rattlesnake Tail Swing" and "Fire In The Night") and six interpretations of pieces composed by WC Handy, Jelly Roll Morton and others.

Probably have to buy it and find out who the "and others" were to ID the dobro player.

I really enjoyed that two night Rise and Fall story! (Especially the rise!)
What a wild time in history.

They had a bunch of old Blues on it too, sometimes too far in the background to pick out but last night I heard 'God Moves on the Water' by Blind Willy Johnson.

Good show BTW, it was interesting to look at the blatant racsim of the day and then remember that they weren't much farther away from the days of slavery as we are the Vietnam War. It sure takes 'society' a looooong time to change.
