May I suggest The Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association website? In addition to posted music and information, there are many links to other related websites.

Whoops! I forgot to put this one in. This site is where I found out about Jody Carver and found his cuts from the Arthur Godfrey show, which is a show I heard as a kid.
The history of steel is something I'd like to know more about, so I appreciate the timeline. I'm surprised there aren't a lot of books on the history, the way there are on regular guitar. Or maybe the histories are out there and i just haven't found them. |

For people new to steel, here is a concise and clear statement about the basics of universal tunings.
For people new to the net (like me) there is a list of important sites (some that I didn't know about and I'm grateful to find them).
