Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for quite a while but today I just received my Lazy River Weissenborn and I won the Ebay auction for a GeorgeBoards 8 String Console. I decided to mark the occasion by becoming a member here.
I've been playing guitar for 30+ years, but picked up Dobro a couple of years ago and now almost always play that. The GeorgeBoards will be my first "real" lap steel (although I do have a gretch 6 string which I'm trying to get into).
Starting lessons with Jimmy Heffernan this Saturday on Dobro, but I'm going to ask him for some lap steel instruction as well, once I get the new steel.
Even though I've just been reading the posts, you folks have already been most helpful to me in making some recent purchase decisions. Thank you all for all of your most helpful posts. |
