Topic: Yet another C6 tuning question. |

I'm familiar with Open G tuning,DGDGBD. My question is, how do I go from Open G to C6? Do you tune higher to get there or lower? Seems like it must be higher, because any lower than open G is really getting low. |

You could try an D6 tuning, DADF#BD |

you tune up to C6. make sure you have the correct gauge strings .

I wouldn't tune down to the C below that low D. You'll get too floppy. You'll be unable to tune to standard C6/Am7 tuning using the same strings you're using for that open G tuning.
