Gerald.......thanks for the kind words and for including our humble efforts on your fine site. Manny does great vocal work and his little Uke contributes so much to the traditional tunes he recorded.
As a side note, the photo shows my little hard-luck Rick that arrived here from Australia with a "broken neck". With long distance guidance and counsel from my long time friend Gentleman Wayner Tanner, down in far away Texas, I successfully mended this serious damage and in my humble opinion, it has the sweetest tone of all my eleven Ricks.
The tone knob was missing also, so I purchased $70.00 worth of knobs offered on eBay and fortunately, one of them was an exact match for my volume knob. Altho' this little guitar has a rusty/caroded pickup cover, I feel it is a wonderful little instrument.
BY the way, that photo you included there, doesn't really look like "Me".....as I look far more like Jeff Au Hoy....taller, more slender, but with blond hair and blue eyes. I'm sure Bobby Ingano will attest to that fact; or, maybe even Ron Whitfield? I can't understand the mix-up there with the pix. That guy looks like a Suma Wrestler...... Gee's!!
Two different Ricks were used on this 23 tune CD. The other guitar was a post war Rick with white panels and the strings were nearly as old as the guitar. Can you tell which songs were done on which guitar?
Thanks too, Gerald, for mentioning our JerryByrdFanClub.com site. Hopefully some of the folks from the HSGA will drop in and take a listen.[This message was edited by Ray Montee on 12 November 2004 at 10:28 AM.]
