I would like to buy a Roland RG30 midi set-up. If you don't have one, check around and see if you have any friends who wants to sell one. Thanks!

Keith, You probably meant to say: GR 30.
Which is a Roland guitar synthesizer.
I work with a guy who uses one... They are great if you can develop the "touch".
Pretty costy though.

John, I can't wait to see your picture in the Peavey Monitor Magazine. I plan on hanging it on the wall. Yes, I know they are expensive. Got one located in Springfield, but it looks like it has been used in a lot of smoky bars. They want $300.00, which isn't a bad price if it was in good condition.

Keith do I maybe sniff a 10 or 12 string midi pickup in the future? Just wondering.

Keith, They did not put my picture with the article. Hartley made the front page with a picture. I made page 31 with a picture of my amp.
I feel like Rodney Dangerfield: "most dads carry their sons picture in their wallet to show people. My dad shows them the picture that came with the wallet."
When I come to see you, I'll try to get Red to come with me. He can give you some pointers on the GR-30.
keep on keepin on.........JD

Yes Fred, I have been experimenting with some infrared pickups I have built. Experiments have been done with an analog and a digital output. The frequencies go to a Basic Stamp SX micro-controller, then to the midi. You can even make your guitar sound like a sheep. I can't wait to sound like a sheep backing up a singer!

I'd never want my steel to sound like a sheep. For most of the gigs I've had lately, you'd never be able to tell which sounds were coming from the steel and which were coming from the singer!

Well there you have it folks in Mr. Hilton's own words. I kinda' thought he was moving in this direction and I'm sure glad. Keith, now if you can keep the expenses down, I betcha' you have a certain winner. Just like the volume pedal I play and have for years, it's been a blessing to me.

Sheep?? Hell, you don't need an infrared pickup for that, just catch me on any Saturday night with Texas Pride. I've even been told a braying Donkey sounds better.
