This rare amp is very much liked by the few forum members who have them. The renown with 212" scorpions was not preferred for steel guitar, but the 115 was (reported by Mike Brown) Lloyd Green's favorite Peavey amp. It's also on the cover of Buddy Emmon's "One for the Road" album.

It is one of the few original 115 Renowns produced, with the Black Widow 1501-04 speaker.

This amp weighs 63 lbs on the scale.

I do have the original "Peavey" and "BW" emblems. I just took them off because I like how plain it looks.

A friend of mine, Jim Killen, liked the renown for pedal steel.

He always had great tone.

I used to own one of these...just bought it to try it out, since I hear it was Lloyd Green's amp of choice. Sounded real good with the steel and a 335 as well. Just had too many amps.

I had one it had the 15 inch Scorpion speaker. Was not suited for steel. Is there any shipping costs involved?

By the way, there is a bit of rust on the left metal plate where the chassis holds on to. I'm not sure what that part is called, it's on top.

The built-in reverb has a hum that only started since we recently moved. I haven't tried to reconnect it, but I'll try when I get the chance and see if that fixes it..

The reverb hum is gone now. It's quiet!
