I've had these speakers for a few years and never used them. My playing situations do not lend themselves to stereo sound, and I only play out, away from my regular church gig, about 4 or 5 times a year. My corner of the studio is getting pretty crowded, so I need to get them out of the way.

The speakers are 1203 Black Widows, 4 ohm, and are in good condition. I built the cabinets, using a computer program to design the port size and length, and the backs are closed. They are made from 1/2" birch plywood, with all the corners reinforced. The cabinets are covered with black Fender type tolex, and the front, around the speaker is covered with black speaker carpet. The grills are steel expanded metal, painted with black epoxy paint. The covers were custom made by Gary and Patti Preston. There are spring loaded handles on the bottom for tilting the cabinets back if necessary. There is one 1/4" jack, and one Speakon connector (paralleled), on a steel plate on the back. There are a couple of flaws in the tolex on one of them near the handle, but it is hardly noticeable. I didn't see it until I already had installed the tolex and I didn't want to replace it. These weigh 33 lbs. each.

If you are into the stereo thing, using Stewart or Mosvalve amps, etc, these would work very nicely for you. Or if you use an amp such as an Acoustic Image, or Fender Jazzmaster Ultralight, that will handle 2 ohms, these will work nicely in parallel.

I have about $330 in them, not counting my labor, and I would like to get that for them. If you can't pick them up, I will do the best deal I can on shipping. I can take paypal, and I have lots more pictures I can email.

Darvin, how do these sound for the steel and did you ever use your Eden amp with these? Thinking seriously about taking this route for Steel.

Henry, I played steel through them a couple of years ago right after I built them, and haven't used them since. The steel sounded good using my Digitech 2112 preamp and a Mosvalve 500 amp. I had no use for a stereo rig, so they are not being used. I haven't tried them with the Eden, but I'm sure they would sound good. I may try that tonight, I'll let you know.

Henry, although I had my own cabinets that I made, I used 1203 speakers for quite some time with steel in stereo & mono and they sound great! I had them set up with a profex 2 & tubefex using a Carvin DCM 600.

I prefer them over the 1501's. They have more punch and cleaner mids & highs than the 15's. Also, as everyone knows, Darvin is a great guy to deal with!

Thanks for the compliment David, and I agree, the 1203 speakers sound really good with a steel.

Henry, I hooked up my Eden WTX260 to one of these this morning, I couldn't use both, because this amp will only go down to 4 ohms, and these are 4 ohm speakers. Some of Edens more powerful amps will go to 2 ohms, but this one doesn't. The Fender Jazzmaster Ultralight amp, and Acoustic Images small amps all will accept a 2 ohm load, so both speakers could be used with them.

This speaker sounded really good with a steel, especially in the low end. There was better low end response than with the Eminence 15" Neo speaker I had been using with this amp. The high notes were crisper too, in other words they really sound good. (If I type much longer, I may talk myself out of selling them Smile )

Let me know if you're interested, if not they're going to Ebay.

CORRECTION The input jack plate has one Speakon, and one 1/4" connector, not two 1/4" as I first stated in the listing. I need to look at this stuff before I list it I guess. Smile
