Pardon the self-promo, but I noticed a recent question about Sol Hoopii tabs.
The Art of Hawaiian Steel Guitar - volume 2 will be published early next year. Like Volume 1, it contains mostly transcriptions of acoustic, pre-WWII Hawaiian guitarists.
This book will have Sol Hoopii's Hawaii Nei, Honolulu Hula Heigh, Kaala, Palolo, Feelin' No Pain,Hula Girl, Stack O'Lee Blues & Hano Hano Hawaii.
The Genial Hawaiians' St. Louis Blues, Song of the Plains & Waters of the Minnetonka.

I can't wait. What tuning did you use?
We can always depend on your expert lesons.
I enjoyed your 1st book along with the dobro tapes. Since I spend most of my time in C-6th now I am hoping it's close to this. |

Stacy, thanks for all your good work in preserving and documenting this music. Jim and Bob were amazingly good - right up there with Sol Hoopii. |
