For sale, 1 custom switchable single/double coil lap steel pickup for sale.

Originally purchased for installation into my modified 7-string Johnson tricone, but no matter how lightly I played, the top string would always deflect down and hit the pickup magnets. I guess I just have to accept that it really is an acoustic guitar.

Anyway, Jason said these were low-profile 'strat style' pickups, and they sure sounded nice. There are two single coil pickups mounted together but wired independantly so you can switch them into and out of humbucking mode.

2 7/16" from pole piece to pole piece (that's over 3/8" string spacing); 9/16" overall height; includes mounting screws and springs, a volume pot, and a 1/4" output jack.

This cost me $250 new; you can have it for $175 (or best offer).
