Hello, this is my first post, although I've been reading the forum for a couple years. I have had a double 8 National for about a year now and have never been too concerned with what model it is, but now I need to replace a volume pot (and capacitor), but I can't find any resources online to determine the parts i need. If anybody has resources, they would be much appreciated. thanks. KB |

Kris,
Write down all the text and numbers you see on the sides and back of the pot and on the sides of the capacitor and post it here; Pictures of the pot and capcitor will help. You can also do an SGF and internet search for the words > vintage electronics < and > vintage pot capacitor < ....and inquire at promising results with the information from the pot and capcitor; Pictures of the pot and capacitor to send along will also help.
Also keep in mind that an original pot and capacitor might not be the type you will eventually desire to use; So a search on the SGF here for the words > pot taper < and > pot capacitor < might help review discussions about the parameters you might want to consider in a replacement.
Aloha,
Denny T~

Your steel sounded great in Georgetown! Sounded like the electronic manipulations you made did the trick. Drop me an email at jon_Kemppainen@yahoo.com sometime!
Thanks,
Jon
