Jesse McReynolds is credited with playing one on his new CD New Horizons. What IS a mandolobro? Do you play it with a bar?

BTW - Weldon Myrick plays regular dobro on the CD and really has his own style going.

Just guessing, but could it be a resonator instrument tuned like a mandolin or mandola in 5ths? It could also have double courses of strings ( 8 strings tuned to 4 pitches.)

Knowing Jesse's playing, I would imagine a resonator mandolin...round neck!
