Fender Dual 8 bridge wear

My 1952 Fender Dual Professional's inside neck has some very minor string wear on the chrome bridge where the second and third string sit and there are some overtone and ghost notes because of this. Is there anything that can be done to remedy this problem without damaging the bridge ? Has anyone else experienced this problem ?
