| Received 3 days ago from Musicians Friend. This is a well rated unit but needs to go to someone with more Computer saavy than me. I had some problems attempting to install it in a new Dell laptop with Windows XP and a Celeron processor. Can probably be done but it sure ain't easy which was what I had in mind. Comes with Cubase and Gigastudio software. Anyone want some entertainment?? $100 ( was $200 new). Try it a week and if you dont have more fun than I did send it back and Ill put it on Ebay or something. |

Fred I have two of these units, one in my studio connected to a Dell laptop, that I use with Band In A Box, and CD's for practice. The other is on my home computer and I use it for the interface when recording records and tapes to my computer for burning CD's. I tried a couple of other USB interface units that I didn't like, but the Tascam does everything I needed. Someone will get a great deal here.

| I've got one of these units that I've used to do home recording with Sonar. Pretty clean preamps for the price point, nice no latency monitoring and phantom power. Quite a steal at this price. I think I paid about $160 for mine off Ebay. |
