Received 3 days ago from Musicians Friend. This is a well rated unit but needs to go to someone with more Computer saavy than me. I had some problems attempting to install it in a new Dell laptop with Windows XP and a Celeron processor. Can probably be done but it sure ain't easy which was what I had in mind. Comes with Cubase and Gigastudio software. Anyone want some entertainment?? $100 ( was $200 new). Try it a week and if you dont have more fun than I did send it back and Ill put it on Ebay or something. |

Fred I have two of these units, one in my studio connected to a Dell laptop, that I use with Band In A Box, and CD's for practice. The other is on my home computer and I use it for the interface when recording records and tapes to my computer for burning CD's. I tried a couple of other USB interface units that I didn't like, but the Tascam does everything I needed. Someone will get a great deal here.

I've got one of these units that I've used to do home recording with Sonar. Pretty clean preamps for the price point, nice no latency monitoring and phantom power. Quite a steal at this price. I think I paid about $160 for mine off Ebay. |
