This recording of Dan Dugmore doing Beatles songs is so beautiful that you'll forget all the troubles in the world! |

I have the copy that Dan gave to Re Winkler.
Re lent it to me a little while before he passed on last year, and I just haven't had the chance to get it back to him.
So Last month I was driving, from Tucson back up to Vegas, and put the CD on.
I don't know if it was the long lonesome drive through desert, Dan's incredible playing and tone on the CD, or that Re gave it to me, but just about every tune gave me goosebumps. A couple of songs actually made me start to tear up.
Very beautiful album! |

I have the CD also and love it.
You just don't hear enough about Dan, his style is so distinctive, I guess that's why he plays on soo many CD's these past years.
Keep up the great work Dan!!

Indeed, a wonderful CD. Rather than "hot licks" or tricks that leap out at you, Dan's masterful style draws you deeper into the tunes... I like it better every listen. |
