The tunes are pouring in to the HSGA website! Here's the latest...

HSGA member Phil Bender from Indiana has contributed his beautiful rendition of the classic Hawaiian melody 'E Maliu Mai' to our collection.

Phil is using a C Diatonic tuning on his Excel non-pedal steel. The song was recorded in 2002 at the Aloha International Steel Guitar Club convention in Winchester, IN (this year's show July 8-10, 2004). L.T. Zinn, Ray Slick and Barb Kuhns provide backup on guitar, bass and uke respectively.

That is some exquisite non-pedal steel guitar playing. Phil *really* don't need no stinkin' pedals!

Nice job Phil!
