I just discovered the band Bering Strait (who I found out broke up last June) through the movie about them "The Ballad of Bering Strait." I was really impressed with the music and determination of these kids from Russia who came to the US to play country and bluegrass music. Their Dobro and PSG player especially impressed me. He seems like he's more into the Dobro, but he has some chops on the pedal steel as well. I'm not a big country fan, but I was real impressed with them and Sasha's playing in particular. It's good to see younger musicians carrying the flame.
Any other Bering Strait fans?

I had posted in another thread about him. Sasha did some dates with Sugarland and last I heard was supposed to do something with Pam Tillis. He's definately on the inside.
