The Bellamy Brothers are gonna be in town in December and I'm wondering will they have a steel player and if so, who will it be?
Thanks,
Pat |

Nice web site Gaylon. I hope all that traveling and playing isn't as fun as it looks!

Probably a couple of years. Larry is Gretchen's ex husband and his brother Bobby is one of our guitar players and my roommate out here on the Gretchen tour.

Danny Jones does all the session work for the Bellamy Brothers and yes Larry plays for them on tour. I met Danny when he was picking with Martin Del Ray on the road a few years back. Great person and a super picker.

I hope I'm not spreading any misinformation here but I believe that Danny Jones is deceased(for a few years now)I happened to have been playing steel for Martin for the biggest part of his earlier career and I believe that Danny did dates with him later. He most certainly did some tasty and fitting playing on the Bellamy's first albums. Respectfully submitted, RK

I've always thought that the steel accompanyment to "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body" was one of the nicest ever... |

I hadn't heard of Danny's passing. Man what a shock! We did some shows together back when he was with Martin Delray. Thinking back I guess that had to be about 11 or 12 years ago. Gosh where does time go? He will be missed. Thanks for the update Rick. _________________ Mullen Royal Precision D10 Red Lacquer Pearl inlay 8&8

I met Danny here in Kingsport several years ago. He played for an artist whose name I forget, (not the Bellamy Bros.)he was real friendly and played a JCH so we had something in common. A super nice guy.
