I might be moving to Grand Junction in the next couple of months Anyone know what the music scene is like there for hearing and playing steel? Thanks.

Hey Jake, my wife's folks live in Grand Junction and I've been there a few times but never got a chance to check out the music scene. Nice place to visit. Holler when you get settled. I know I'll have to go back some time next year.

| I would keep my eyes and ears open for Mr. Ted Hockenberry. Killer steel player and all around great guy! I think he's in the Durango area, but plays all round. If you find him, you won't be disappointed. |

| I live in Rangely, CO. That's about 88 miles northwest of Grand Junction and as far as I know, there's not a lot going on anymore because of the smoking ban and the drinking thing. |

Hey Jake,
Check & see if there's,still,a club there called the "Cafe Caravan". I played there w/ Tommy Overstreet back in the late 70's. I believe the "performing" room was called the "Jungle Room". That's where I earned the nickname,"Asleep At The STEEL". I'll tell ya 'bout dat sometime,when both of us have more time.
