Anybody know if there is a live music scene in or around Prescott AZ. Does not necessarily have to be country, but thats always good...Thanks in advance. JW |

Don't know about the music scene, but I was told by our bassist, who's been there, that you have to pronounce it "Presskit" or people will look at you funny.

I was at Prescott about a month ago and there was a club on 'Whiskey Row' same place that the film "Billy Jack" had the fight scene filmed at in front of the ice cream store, anyway I digress, there is a club couple of doors down the "The bird in a Cage" saloon that features Country music on weekends.

More than likely, it's the Palace Bar, the most prominent feature on the row. |

Whiskey Row is a good bet. Several joints have music on the weekends in the afternoon to attract the tourists and shoppers. Also, a few miles away (and a spectacular drive at that) is Jerome AZ where you might hear jazz or rockabilly or blues on any given Saturday or Sunday afternoons too. Check out Caz Jazz or Combo Deluxe.
I'm playing this weekend in Camp Verde on Saturday afternoon at the Camp Verde Days festiva with Caz Jazz, Saturday evening at The Blazin M Ranch in Cottonwood and later that night at Kactus Kates in Old Town Cottonwood with The Retros. Then again Sunday afternoon in Sedona with a swing band and Sunday evening again at the Blazin M Ranch. Check out KUDOS. (A weekly entertainment mag.)
Lots of good stuff happening around here.
