I played at GramFest in Joshua Tree CA last weekend. Casey was there fronting his own band with Chuck Lettes doing a great job on Pedal Steel Guitar.

Have not heard the finished product yet, but he had Chuck, Dick Meis and myself play steel on his new solo record... Fun project and nice guy...

Casey has a real distinctive voice and reminds me a bit of Gram Parsons. He is developing his own style on the steel, and it's refreshing to see a young player (he's only 26) have such an interest in the steel and in country music. Charlie, it was great to meet you at the GramFest. Thanks again for letting me borrow your pack-a-seat and amp. It's been years since I played through a Fender. You sounded great on that Emmons!
Chuck
