As I was packing up stuff to move to our new place I found your CD with all your great songs on it. I could not get it in the CD player fast enough. Steel guitar that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. All of you who has not had the pleasure take my word for it Jim was born to play the steel guitar. Jim is a super star in southern Oklahoma. If you ever get a chance to see or hear him play make the time and effort. I miss you old friend I hope this finds you well. If you get down Houston way drinks are on me. Karen twisted my arm to buy a big place. She's tried of tripping over those Thomas's. My new music rooms not as big as yours yet but we have plenty of room to add on. Tell everyone in Cooperton hello from Karen and I hope to see you soon. God Bless

All these good words about my good friend, Jim Harper, are true.

He got me started on the pedal steel in 1970 and has been a good friend all these years.

He gave me my first lessons and I learn something every time we get together.

He's got a good wife and a couple of good dogs too.

I agree with everyone about our friend Jim. He also sent me an extra cd of a session he did. He has the clean steel sound that i like. I play his cd often. And it's a real treat everytime i call him. And i hear that a certain lady friend of mine has called jim, and even sent his doggies a box of treats. She never buys this old dog any treats!

I've known Jim Harper, his wonderful wife Peggy and two adorable yorkies for three years now. Jim is a pleasure to play music with and a super picker. He has been my mentor from day one and helped me immensely steering me in the right direction on what PSG and equipment to buy. I am a 30 year plus bass player trying to convert to the PSG at the tender age of 70. Thank you Brother Jim and May God bless you and your family.

I'll chime in here about Jim. I met Jim on the Forum here about 9 months ago. He lives just across the Red River from my hometown and we know a lot of the same old pickers; yet we never met in all the years. I came back home for a vacation and got to go over to Jim and Peg's and have him teach me how to work on my Emmons push/pull. We sat and visited and picked for most of the afternoon. It was a real treat to meet him after visiting with him via email. Jim thanks again for the help. I hope to get back that-away next summer when we move back to the states. Take care and keep pickin..

Amen to all the good things said about Jim! I have called or Emailed Jim on several occasions for advice and direction. He always gives his best shot. In fact, just a few days ago I emailed Jim and asked him what the thought about a certain amplifier I was looking at.

I have his CD and a tape he made on the job. Jim is in the class of the "super pickers". Jim Harper is pure class. I am proud to call him my friend.
